Ingarashi Ganta |
Ganta Igarashi, also known as "Woodpecker," is an ordinary middle school boy
until his life is shattered when the Wretched Egg (Shiro) kills his entire
class and frames him for the crime. Sentenced to death in the brutal prison
Deadman Wonderland, Ganta vows to survive, clear his name, and get revenge on
the "Red Man," unaware it’s actually his childhood friend, Shiro.
Inside the prison, Ganta discovers he has the Branch of Sin, a power that lets him shoot his own blood like bullets, though it drains his health. He joins the resistance group Scar Chain to expose the prison’s crimes.
Shiro

Shiro |
Shiro, also known as the Wretched Egg, is a powerhouse in Deadman Wonderland,
with a mix of terrifying abilities that make her nearly unstoppable. She has
superhuman strength, speed, and endurance, letting her crush opponents with
ease and dodge attacks in the blink of an eye.
Her signature power, blood manipulation, turns her own blood into deadly
weapons, while her vibration powers can cause massive destruction like the
time she triggered an earthquake so powerful it wiped out Deadman
Wonderland.
On top of that, she has regeneration, healing from injuries that would kill
anyone else, and she’s immune to poisons, so nothing can weaken her. She can
even fly, giving her the upper hand in any fight, and can turn others into
Deadmen, making her the original source of all Branches of Sin.
Her attacks are devastating enough to wreck entire islands and can hit from
kilometers away, making her a long-range nightmare. While Shiro’s playful,
childlike personality might fool you, her darker side, Wretched Egg, is cold,
smart, and utterly ruthless.
Her dual personalities make her unpredictable, and though the Mother Goose System tries to keep her dark side in check, once it's gone, she’s free to unleash her full destructive potential.
Hagire Rinchirou
RinichirÅ Hagire is the main villain of Deadman Wonderland and the mastermind
behind Shiro’s transformation into the Wretched Egg. After the Great Tokyo
earthquake, he used his Branch of Sin to transfer his mind into the prison’s
Director and continued experimenting on Deadmen.
His ultimate goal was to unlock the Mother Goose system and unleash Shiro’s
full power to recreate the earthquake’s destruction.
When his body weakened, Hagire transferred his consciousness into Toto Sakigami, gaining new powers.
Sakigami Toto

Sakigami Toto |
Toto Sakigami, also known as "Mockingbird," is a mysterious and fearsome
Deadman, even feared by Senji. Dressed like Shiro and known for his wild,
psychotic behavior, Toto is considered the strongest Deadman.
Before his imprisonment, his older sister died protecting her during the Great Tokyo earthquake, a tragedy that shaped his life. His deadly power, Love Labyrinth, allows her to copy the abilities of other Deadmen, making her nearly unstoppable. She is rumored to be the only person who survived a fight with the Wretched Egg.
Senji Kiyomasa

Senji Kiyomasa |
Kiyomasa Senji, also known as "Crow," is the first Deadman Ganta encounters in
Deadman Wonderland. Tall, muscular, and battle-hungry, Senji thrives in prison
and enjoys the deadly Carnival Corpse matches. Despite his tough exterior, he
gets flustered around women, especially Shiro in her skin-tight suit.
His Branch of Sin, called Crow Claws, lets him create scythe-like blades on
his forearms that can slash at the speed of sound. Once a police officer,
Senji used his powers to fight criminals but lost his teammates in a brutal
encounter, tattooing their initials on his forehead to honor them.
